So I make a brand new Amazon account of my own (I used to just use my mother’s) and submit the documentation for Amazon Student.
Attempt #1: They reply to me telling me they can’t give me membership because I was missing an enrollment date and to resubmit with the complete documentation.
Attempt #2: I resubmit ALL of the documentation and get approved, but the Amazon Student membership isn’t working, so I send a confused request about why not. They reply that there is some error in the system which is being worked on and will be taken care of in 3-5 days. If I want to make any purchases with the qualifying free 2-day shipping, just submit the costs to Amazon and they’d waive them.*
* - But then, a day later when I thought everything was fine, I get an e-mail telling me that I’ve been denied Amazon Student because I am already using an Amazon Kindle Fire one month free of prime promotion. I’m like, “WTF? I don’t even know what Kindle Fire is!” So I send another e-mail to inquire about this…and I’ve heard nothing. In the mean time, I check my account to see if I can access those alleged benefits, only for a message to pop up saying, “…your free Amazon Prime shipping benefits have ended.”
Can you see the veins popping out of my neck yet? I am NOT happy with you, Amazon! What’s with the damn runaround?!
