I'm an English Writing and Women's Studies dual major. I'm a feminist, a Whovian, and a writer.

I LOVE River Song and I LOATHE Rose Tyler. Also, I don't like Regina Mills and the fact that she systematically raped Graham, but the writers make light of it because she's "hot." These things will be blatantly clear on my Tumblr. If you can't handle that, it would be best not to follow me in the first place. I do not hold back about the things I love and hate.

Did they ever establish why Amy Pond had a perfume line?

NOPE

because starting a perfume line is something amy’s always wanted to do, I guess, for some reason

Well, we have always known she’s creative, to be fair….

The smell after rain has quite the following and people are constantly trying to capitalize on this, but I’m not surprised that you blatantly ignore that and instead try to down play it something disgusting.

Actinomycetes, a type of filamentous bacteria, grow in soil when conditions are damp and warm. When the soil dries out, the bacteria produces spores in the soil. The wetness and force of rainfall kick these tiny spores up into the air where the moisture after a rain acts as an aerosol (just like an aerosol air freshener). The moist air easily carries the spores to us so we breathe them in. These spores have a distinctive, earthy smell we often associate with rainfall. The bacteria is extremely common and can be found in areas all over the world, which accounts for the universality of this sweet “after-the-rain” smell. Since the bacteria thrives in moist soil but releases the spores once the soil dries out, the smell is most acute after a rain that follows a dry spell, although you’ll notice it to some degree after most rainstorms.
