I'm an English Writing and Women's Studies dual major. I'm a feminist, a Whovian, and a writer.

I LOVE River Song and I LOATHE Rose Tyler. Also, I don't like Regina Mills and the fact that she systematically raped Graham, but the writers make light of it because she's "hot." These things will be blatantly clear on my Tumblr. If you can't handle that, it would be best not to follow me in the first place. I do not hold back about the things I love and hate.

Also, important note: I am NOT a spoiler free blog!

It is what it is and if you decide to follow me anyway, welcome! <3

We're putting a TARDIS into orbit - Really!

Okay, first of all: watch this because TARDIS. IN. SPACE.

Second of all, watch this because of the father and daughter relationship. It’s hilarious! (“I have been watching Doctor Who forever…she’s been watching Doctor Who almost forever, because she’s younger than me.”)

Third of all, solar panels on the TARDIS??

Fourth, did I mention the TARDIS in space?!

No, but really, it sounds like a super cool project. And their replica is badass!

Seriously one of the most gorgeous arts I’ve had the pleasure of viewing!
Look at the tear steaming down the TARDIS’s face.

Doctor Who for the First Time: 6.4

“The Doctor’s Wife” was a misleading title. I thought this episode was going to be about River because I think, at some point, she becomes the Doctor’s wife. Alas, this episode was about a Time Lord eating planet that lives off TARDIS energies. The Doctor got to talk to his TARDIS in human form…

this is… oh god

Is that an ‘oh god this post is wonderful’ or an ‘oh god she is totally wrong in her predictions and is about to be horribly surprised’?

I’m not sure about that other person, but I can say that I was a little shocked when I read the third sentence of your reaction because episode wasn’t about House and his eating up of TARDISes, it was about the relationship between The Doctor and the TARDIS. For once the TARDIS gets thrown into a human body and can physically interact with the man she’s been with for centuries. Like Amy says, long after the rest of us are gone, it’s still the boy and his box off to see the universe. “The Doctor’s Wife” wasn’t meant to be taken literally, it’s a metaphor to convey the constant companionship between The Doctor and the TARDIS. TDW was a love letter to fans, Classic and Nu.

And in response to your question about The Doctor joking about killing the Time Lords, he was and he wasn’t. I feel like it’s similar to a backhanded compliment, because it could almost pass for a dark and sinister joke, but that’s only the surface. When you get past that, it’s this tarish, bubbling mass of a threat and The Doctor’s own self loathing at what he did to his own people and what he’s most definitely capable of doing to House. The man who abhors violence…and then he directs his TARDIS to kill House. Excuse me while my English Major implodes here, because I just love getting to the nitty gritty of characters like that!

So I’ve just been thinking: if The Doctor could see River all this time, how? Was sexy constantly interfacing The Library and projecting River onto the TARDIS via hologram?

And then in this episode, when she gets telepathically linked to Clara, she’s corporeal within the mind conference, and then Clara is telepathically linked to Sexy, so that allows Sexy to finally transmit River in a corporeal form, hence The Doctor being able to grab her arm and kiss her. (But, Sexy refused to make this intimate moment viewable to Strax, Jenny, and Vastra.)

“Running To You” - Sneak Peek

“Sexy knows where to go, don’t you, Dear?”

“Sexy?” Clara deadpanned.

“Sexy!” The Doctor chirped. “That’s her name, isn’t it, Old Girl?” He caressed the time rotor and the brakes groaned.

“So, Sexy and a wife?” Clara continued, the toes of her shoes stabbing the backs of The Doctor’s boots as she followed so closely behind him.

I love River in the TARDIS…

Inspired by this post.

Title: Hang-Ups
Pairings: References pertaining to The Doctor/River and Amy/Rory
Characters: River Song and the TARDIS
Summary: The TARDIS can’t stand The Doctor’s newest companion and she needs to rant, so she seeks out the only person that can hear her out.
Warnings: Mild spoilers for “Hide.”

Please enjoy at AO3 or FFN.

Usually the TARDIS’s telepathic connection—a unique link that had formed back in utero—gave River a gooey feeling inside, the way she used to feel in her second incarnation, when Amelia would play with her hair and if she closed her eyes, she could pretend that she was really the child she was pretending to be and Amelia was her mother, the proper age a mother should be relative to her daughter, and that she was intentionally acting as a mother, instead of a best friend. But this time the TARDIS’s connection was sharp, like static electricity, occasionally causing River to wince and touch a finger or two to her temple.

The only mystery worth solving” my time rotors! What is he thinking? At least he hasn’t given her a key yet.

“Or what?” River said, chuckling just a bit. “You’ll change the locks?”
