I'm an English Writing and Women's Studies dual major. I'm a feminist, a Whovian, and a writer.

I LOVE River Song and I LOATHE Rose Tyler. Also, I don't like Regina Mills and the fact that she systematically raped Graham, but the writers make light of it because she's "hot." These things will be blatantly clear on my Tumblr. If you can't handle that, it would be best not to follow me in the first place. I do not hold back about the things I love and hate.

Also, important note: I am NOT a spoiler free blog!

It is what it is and if you decide to follow me anyway, welcome! <3

If Melissa is the other Child of Blackwell, maybe that’s why she was possessed first?

I know everyone’s thinking Faye at the moment (the assumption being that Cassie and Faye might be half sisters, if Dawn really did have more than a crush on John as was hinted at during the fundraiser between Dawn, Charles, and Jane), but that seems too obvious.

Plus, it might be worth noting that Melissa is the only one in the Circle who is biracial. I thought this was purely a casting choice since they were condensing the series for television and instead chose to loosely base an “original character” off multiple characters from the book, so as long as they were doing the “original character” angle, they might as well add in some skin pigment diversity too. (Don’t even get me started on how irritating it is that so many shows are way too “white” - only albinos are truly white - skin dominated and then when they do introduce non-“white” characters, they almost always get the short end of the stick. I was very happy that they went that direction with Melissa, even though I wasn’t sure what kind of intentions they had when they did it.)

But now with the whole Blackwell revelation, I’m wondering if maybe her biracial lineage might also be a plot point? Instead of the Cassie and Melissa half sister angle, could one of Melissa’s parents be an “illegitimate” Blackwell/Balcoin descendant?

The Ramblings of a Lonely Nerd: Something I've noticed about Doctor Who

dont-forget-the-good-out-there:

Steven Moffat likes our characters not so alive.

We’ve all noticed that one.

We’re still talking about that one, there is also the time where he erased himself from time to save the universe.

Amy has died too, but I’ve seen no gifs for that and I can’t make them because I’m not…

OMGoddess, the River “Like A (Sexy) Time Lord” gif FTW!

Melody Pond/Mels/River Song Theory
I still suspect that The Doctor (might not even be Eleven, maybe Twelve does it) might find Toddler!Mels or Child!Mels at some point and take her to Leadworth in order to grow up with her parents. i.e. Twelve finds Mels and Mels has no idea who he is at that point (maybe he introduces himself as John Smith?). She is the “impressionable young girl” and he knows everything about her. He picks her up, takes her to Leadworth, and she grows up into Adult!Mels with Amy and Rory, all this time waiting for The Doctor to show up (not knowing that he was the one who took her to Leadworth in the first place) so she can fulfill her mission of killing him. Then the events of “Let’s Kill Hitler” happens. River goes to the Luna University and does end up finding The Doctor, but she ends up finding Twelve, the man who originally found her in New York. She falls in love with him (and at this point, he’s already deeply in love with her, having fallen in love with her as Eleven) and she makes the complete transformation into the River Song we (as the viewers) know. Then by the time she’s in love with The Doctor (the one she knows the most being Twelve, as hinted at in “The Time of Angels” when she says that “Baby Face [Eleven]” showing up is always strange]), she begins running into Eleven more often (hence all the adventures we’ve seen) where he begins falling in love with her when she is already in love with him (thus, the general trend of them “meeting in reverse” which is not technically true, but a poetic way of describing the overall situation).
